NO EXCUSES!: two a days.

NO EXCUSES!: My two a days week.
So this past week was my last week of my second round of the 21 day fix. I decided that I was going to attempt two a days. I didn't want to do two workouts back to back, my plan was to do one in morning and one after work. I am NOT a morning person whatsoever. I figured I would attempt to do two workouts a day and if I didn't I'd at least still be working out with one a day. I am proud to say that I made it thee WHOLE week doing two a days! Maybe not in the exact way I had planned but I didn't let would could've been excuses stop me! Here's how my week went:

Day 1 Monday: I got up early and did my 30min workout and did another what was supposed to be a 30min workout when I got home. This 30min workout ended up taking me an hour to complete! Between my dog having to go out, my dog humping me, my dog thinking I was playing with her when I was on the floor, cooking my food and getting it out of the oven, my computer dying because it wasn't plugged in, etc this workout consisted of me pushing pause ... A LOT! I could have easily just called it quits and said this is just not working but I didn't. When the computer died and I was waiting for it to restart, I started my 10min abs. I was determined to finish no matter how many times I was interrupted and had to push pause. That night I went to bed around 9:30-10:00. I was so tired that I missed 3 phone calls while I was asleep (I normally always hear my phone) and ...
Day 2 Tuesday: ... My alarm went off for a whole hour before I even heard it! Now, I don't have a set time I have to be to work. I can go in whenever however, I don't like to be there all day/night so I try to get there around the 8oclock hour. So technically I could have gotten up and did a workout but I didn't. I knew I had to pick my parents up from the airport at 10:30pm so I decided to do one workout right when I got home from work and then another a little before I had to pick them up. That way I knew I'd be awake to pick them up and not fall asleep!
Day 3 Wednesday: I woke up tired but I knew one of the workouts was 10mins abs so I got up and got that quick one out of the way. When I got home from work I made the mistake of sitting on the couch and trying to do something on the computer. I know myself and I HAVE to do my workout asap I get home, I can't lay on the couch or anything like that or else I more than likely will not end up doing my workout. As I was sitting on the computer I could feel my body start to get tired so I stopped what I was doing and immediately got up to get my workout in.
Day 4 Thursday: I knew I was going to Ethans after work and then to watch him bowl later that night so my plan was one workout in morning and one after work. When my alarm went off I could barely open my eyes. So I decided to listen to my body and go back to sleep. Hours had been short at work so I knew I'd be out early with enough time to do two workouts with a break and I wouldn't have to do them back to back. So I got home worked out, took a break and did some stuff and then did another workout closer to the time we had to leave for bowling.
Day 5 Friday: We had been out late last night between bowling and then hanging out afterwards so needless to say I was TIRED! I knew I'd be out early again for work and that Ethan would still be working out at 9-10pm. So I went with the one workout after work and then another later at night with Ethan.
D4 & D5: I use dumbbells when I'm at my house but Ethan hasn't added those to his collection yet so I could've just said ehh, I'll just do it without weights but then I would've been cheating myself. He does have weight plates for his bench so I made do with those.
D6 Saturday: I knew today we'd be going to my grandparents house and then my brother and Ethan were gonna go to eat later that night (mongobbq isn't my fave, let alone on my eating plan, so I thought they could just go and I would stay home) I did a workout when I got home and then I had to get ready and go to my grandparents. We ended up staying there until the boys were ready to go to mongobbq and somehow I ended up getting tagged along to watch them eat. :) So it was late when I got home and I didn't feel like getting super sweaty and having to wash my hair and all that good stuff so late at night. So I was supposed to do yoga on Sunday but I still wanted to complete my two a days. I ended up switching and doing yoga Saturday night to complete my two a day week and ...
D7 Sunday: Instead of yoga on Sunday, I did the pilates from Saturday night.

I DID IT! I did two a days the WHOLE week! I'm proud of myself. I didn't let the things that I could have turned into excuses get in my way and stop me. Sure I didn't end up doing workouts every morning and then after work but I still managed to get two in while not doing them back to back. I said earlier that I'm not a morning person but I wouldn't consider my self a night owl either. If I had it my way I would go to bed early AND sleep in! Sometimes you have to sacrifice something in order to get something done or do something you want.

I get it.  I've been there, debating back and forth because of the price.  But I challenge you to keep track of what you spend in a month.  Are you driving through the drive thru for a meal?, are you spending money on coffee or energy drinks?, are you buying lunch at work where you could be packing a lunch instead?.  The price equals out to about a little over $4 a day.  If you're serious about your nutrition, I urge you to look at where you are spending your money and where you might be able to cut back.
